Jonas Gahr Støre appointed new Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Norway’s new government was appointed Monday 17th of October by King Harald V. This is Mr. Jens Stoltenberg’s second government. It is a majority government representing the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party and the Centre Party.

15/02/2006 :: Jonas Gahr Støre (the Labour Party) has up to this day been Secretary-General for The Norwegian Red Cross. He was Chief of Staff under Jens Stoltenberg during his previous government in 2000-2001, and Deputy Secretary under four former Prime Ministers. Støre has also occupied the position as Chief of Staff of WHO under Gro Harlem Brundtland. The new Minister of International Development is Erik Solheim (the Socialist Left Party).
