Minister Djupedal attends Conference on education

The Norwegian Minister of Education and Research, Mr Øystein Djupedal, will attend the Conference of European Ministers of Education on 16 and 17 March in Vienna in the framework of the Austrian Presidency.

14/03/2006 :: The first day of the Conference offers the possibility to exchange experiences from the national consultation process on the European Qualifications Framework and to discuss the Commission’s proposal to establish the European Institute of Technology. A further aim of the Conference is the continuing integration of the Western Balkan countries into the wider European Area of Education.
Last week, on 9 March, Mr. Øystein Djupedal sent a letter to his Austrian colleague, presenting Norway’s view regarding the seventh framework program for research and technological development.
