Minister of Foreign Affairs lead the EEA Council meeting in Brussels.

Mr Jonas Gahr Støre lead the Council meeting yesterday 12 December in Brussels. In front of the meeting he participated at a political dialogue.

Representatives from Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein, as well as representatives from the European Commission, The European Council, the Finnish Presidency and the German Presidency to come, attended the EEA Council meeting.
The EEA Council is responsible for assessing the development of the EEA Agreement and lay down guidelines for further development of it.

In front of the meeting, Mr. Støre participated at a political dialogue about current foreign policy questions. The topics for this meeting were the situation in Darfur, the challenges in Lebanon and the developments in Kosovo.

The last meeting the Foreign Minister had, was with the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Mr. Javier Solana.
