Malta signs Memorandum of Understanding

Malta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EEA EFTA states Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein on 28 April. Under the EEA Financial Mechanism 1.9 million euros is granted to Maltese development projects.

04/05/2005 :: Permanent Representative of Malta to the EU, Richard Cachia Caruana, Norwegian Ambassador, Bjørn T. Grydeland, the Ambassador of Liechtenstein, H.S.H. Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, and Icelandic Ambassador, Kjartan Jóhannsson, signed the MoU in Brussels.

The fund will go towards projects aimed at the protection of the environment, conservation of European Cultural Heritage, modernisation of health and childcare services, and academic research, across public and private sectors.
