Terrorist attacks in India

Norway aligns itself with the EU Declaration which condemns the recent terrorist attacs in Varanasi, published in Brussels and Vienna on 9 March 2006.

14/03/2006 :: The Presidency of the European Union utterly condemns the recent bomb attacks in the Hindu pilgrimage city of Varanasi as brutal acts of terrorism that have caused death and injuries to innocent people. The Presidency of the European Union wishes to convey its deepest condolences to those families who have lost their loved ones and wishes a speedy recovery to those who were injured in these atrocities. The European Union sincerely hopes that those responsible for these barbarian acts of terrorism will be brought to justice.
The Acceding Countries Bulgaria and Romania, the Candidate Countries Turkey, Croatia* and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova align themselves with this declaration.
* Croatia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia continue to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
