A focus on eHealth at Ministerial conference in Tromsø

25/05/2005 :: The use of ICT in health services was assessed during the Ministerial eHealth Conference on 23-24 May. Markos Kyprianou, the Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, attended the conference held by Norway in collaboration with the Commission and the Luxembourg Presidency in Tromsø. + More

Norway joins the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control

04/02/2005 :: The EU decision to establish a European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) was 4 February incorporated in to the EEA Agreement by the EEA Joint Committee. The decision will make it possible for Norway to participate in the Centre from its establishment in Stockholm later this spring. + More

Norway will host the EU eHealth conference 2005

The Norwegian Ministry of Health has been selected as host for the next EU eHealth Conference. It will follow successful events in Brussels in 2003 and Cork in 2004. The third EU eHealth conference, which is scheduled to take place in Tromsø, Norway 23-24 May 2005, is expected to attract 400-500 ministers, officials and experts; as well as NGO and business representatives from EU member states, EFTA-states, EU applicants and the European Commission. + More
