Policy Areas Minister of International Development to visit Brussels 16/12/2005 :: Erik Solheim, Norwegian Minister of International Development, visits Brussels on 19 December to participate in co-chair meeting on Sri Lanka and to have talks with EU and NATO. + More Policy Areas Additional €38 million for disaster victims 12/10/2005 :: The Norwegian government will submit a proposal to the Storting for an additional development assistance allocation of €38 million (300 million NOK) for the victims of natural disasters. As the EU, Norway is working to persuade countries and non-state actors to implement international law and to take effective measures to protect children from the effects of armed conflict. + More Policy Areas Norway provides additional €1 million for Niger 28/07/2005 :: Additional €1 million (NOK 8 million) in emergency relief in connection with the famine in Niger has been allocated by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
